Set your "Now Playing" as Facebook status
Here I'm going to tell you how can you set the current playing track in Windows Media Player, Lastfm etc as Facebook status.
Requirements :
Pidgin
First you have to download the Pidgin Messenger. To Download Pidgin Click Here Install it by double clicking the download file(windows).
Facebook Plug-in
To Download Facebook Plug-in Click Here Download correct plug-in for your OS with latest version. NOTE : If you are already running Pidgin please EXIT before install the Facebook plug-in. Then double click on the download file and install it (Windows). Now you have setup your environment. Run the Pidgin by double clicking by the icon at the Desktop. Go to Accounts >> Manage Accounts >> Add 
addnew Select Protocol as Facebook and type username and password of the Facebook account. Now go to advanced and check the "Set Facebook status through Pidgin status".

Music Tracker:
you need to download and install http://code.google.com/p/musictracker/ too
Add-on
You can add AIM, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, Google Talk, Groupwise, ICQ, IRC, MSN, MySpaceIM, QQ, SILC, SIMPLE, Sametime, XMPP, Yahoo!, Zephyr accounts to the Pidgin and can share all your status as Facebook status, and easily change Facebook status by the Pidgin. Welcome your comments

Very good article. I was recently blogging on The Netflix Prize, which deals with the quality of the recommendation. However, conclusions are drawn primarily off of user ratings. People don't seem to bother rating on facebook, I know I don't. I wonder what correlations exist there...
this did work but for whatever reason my status gets updated about ten times a song which ends up in me changing my status way too much, any ideas?
not workin for me. i m gettin an error from facebook with this plugin.otherwise i can login in facebook via xmmp.but the musictracker plugin is not workin !!
