Broadcast your Facebook status in Drupal

This is a general note about how to get the Facebook Status as RSS

Download the module

http://drupal.org/project/activitystream_facebook

RSS is one of the most useful tools out there for moving information around on the web. Recently the concept of “micro-blogging” status updates has become very popular with applications like Facebook, Twitter and Pownce.

The only problem is that it is a pain to update many sites at the same time. It is better to pick one and broadcast RSS to the others. I’m going to show you how to broadcast your Facebook status as RSS.

Facebook, for some reason, makes it very difficult to find the RSS feed for your own posted status updates. After some searching and digging, I was able to find the URL.

Be sure you are signed into Facebook and paste the following URL into your address bar:

* http://www.new.facebook.com/minifeed.php?filter=11

You’ll see a page showing “Your Mini-Feed” with a button at the bottom right that looks like this:

Click the button and you’ll go to your RSS feed page.
For me it was http://www.new.facebook.com/feeds/status.php?id=652116749&viewer=652116749&key=5e35fdee0b&format=rss20
From this feed URL we can get few important thing to know.
1. userid
to get the user id you have to extract this part "id=652116749".
for me it was "652116749".
2. key
to get the key you have to extract this part "key=5e35fdee0b".
for me key was "5e35fdee0b".

I found this page using your

I found this page using your add on to the drupal activity stream module. I've installed and tested your addition, but it seems to try to import the wrong rss url. Currently it tries to fetch:

http://www.new.facebook.com/feeds/status.php?id=1067977420&viewer=106797...

instead of the correct url:

http://www.new.facebook.com/feeds/status.php?id=1067977420&viewer=106797...

I thank you for your contribution and would like to know how to make it work.

The My Status minifeed isnt

The My Status minifeed isnt available now but I find that your current feed still works. I tried getting the ID and key from the notifications feed but it shows "This feed URL is no longer valid. Visit this page to find the new URL, if you have access, http://www.new.facebook.com/minifeed.php?status&id=1086055166." text on the page.

Is there another way to get this my status feed?
